Are Twitter Lists Killing Blog Subscriptions?

Feb 26, 2014 | Insights

Company blogs use to be a great lead generation tool, gathering the contact information of potential users. It benefitted users because they didn’t have to visit the website each day and the information was sent straight to you.

Twitter and current social media strategies have changed the way consumers receive this information. Most companies will tweet out their blog posts each day to increase awareness and views. With the ability to build lists within Twitter, users can simply create a list of the different company accounts that tweet out their blog articles.

Then without receiving any email or going to each individual website, users can view their list and choose which articles to read.

Will this change lead generation and CRM approaches?

How will companies get that user information now, are twitter handles becoming the new email address?
